About

Barbara Satter Dobuler Lefkowitz lived her life with a passion for all that is fabulous. She was born minutes before her twin brother Bruce on October 12, 1946 although they thought it was the other way around for years because their mother Anita thought Bruce would need the “edge” of being the oldest. Barbara became an angel up there on February 17, 2021 at age 74 when she passed on in Negril, Jamaica.

She left behind Bruce, his two son’s Adam and Chris, her two children Hedley and Hopi and three grandchildren, Jason, Allison, and Thomas. As well as her extended Jamaican family and countless others who she loved and loved her deeply.

Barbara shared her genuine love and support with all she knew and many she didn’t. If she loved you she made you feel special each and every time she saw you and if you just met her she welcomed you with open arms, her contagious smile and excellent sense of humor.

This site is one way we are carrying on her legacy, starting with continued acts of kindness inspired by Barbara when she was still an angel down here. This is a place for those that knew her to stay connected and enjoy the many memories captured here. It is also a place for those that did not get the chance to know her to be able to have a glimpse of her remarkable soul, still visible through the photos, videos and the positive action created here.

Join us in celebrating Barbara’s life by helping her legacy live on by participating in supporting the things Barbara loved in anyway you feel inspired. Support the Jamaican family she loved by buying Blue Mountain Coffee from Thunder, rent a guest room or buy chicken from Ms. Norma or donate toward the barbqfu fund to create resources for other charitable efforts in her name.
